On Saturday, April 14th some of Nashville’s finest musicians are partnering up with Linda’s Hope--the Nashville-based non-profit that does fundraising for pancreatic cancer research and awareness--for their 3rd Annual Hope in the Hills event.
Hope in the Hills, the organization’s largest fundraiser, will be held at Marathon Music Works, Nashville’s newest locally-owned concert and event space. This year, KDSML, Ravello, and Irresponsible Laundry are headlining the event. Each of these artists have their own unique flair and are sure to offer something to match everyone’s taste.
KDSML has been an influential part of the Nashville underground hip-hop and electronic scene for several years. His fusion of Dubstep and electronic music with hip-hop has such an undeniable energy that it fully engages people, showing them just what the electronic dance movement (EDM) is all about. He has played alongside some of the electronic world’s finest acts, such as Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Rusko, Glitch Mob and Lotus.
Also performing this year is Nashville rock band, Ravello. Even though Ravello is still a relatively young band, they exude the confidence and talent of a band that has been performing together for years. Over the past few months they have been touring the country, hitting the stages of SXSW, and finishing up their first full-length album.
Jack McCann and Ricky Arras--otherwise known as Irresponsible Laundry--are a mix duo that draws their inspiration from cutting-edge progressive house and Dubstep music. This duo is sure to bring the party to the crowd...or to bring Chicago to Nashville?
Aside from stellar musical performances, the event will also include an open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction with a plethora of music memorabilia and tickets to Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza.
Ticket prices are $65 in advance and $75 at the door. To purchase tickets for Hope in the Hills or to donate to Linda’s Hope, please visit www.lindashope.org or www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/95251 to contribute.
