Questions & Answers
1. What is Brite Revolution?
Brite Revolution is a music discovery site. We have/are searching for the most talented artists creating music today. It is a big job, but we’re doing it pretty well. We are also a subscription-based music download service and you can find new and exclusive songs on the site every week.
Brite embraces the power of community, causes and technology in a way that we believe can change not only the way artists make music and the industry conducts business, but that can make a powerful impact in the lives of people around the world.
2. How Does Brite Revolution Work?
All Brite Revolution artists release one song each month, plus a second song that we’ll produce for them during their Brite Session. Each song remains available for download on the site for two months, but once you download it, you can keep it forever.
3. What does it mean that you are a “music discovery site”?
It is difficult to discover new music and to keep track of what your favorite artists are doing. Brite Revolution does the leg work for you, turning over every rock (and by rock, we mean bar stool) to find the artists you need to know about and the ones that you need to continue following. We hand pick every artist on the site. If you join for one musician, we’ll tell you the other ones on the site that you need to check out. You can download their songs, add them to your favorites and discover more every day.
4. Does it cost anything to join Brite Revolution?
Nope. Brite is totally free! Ooh la la!
5. How do I become a Brite member?
It takes two minutes (1 min 30 sec if you are a baller). Just click here, enter your information, choose a cause to support and start downloading.
6. What is a “Brite Session”?
Brite Sessions are one part intimate conversation, one part live performance, and one part “behind the scenes” stories from your favorite Brite artists – including some new members of our growing family. Brite Sessions will be presented as a really cool, cinematic episode that includes the session video, combined with 4-6 songs & videos rolled out monthly for you to download and/or stream.
Brite Sessions compliment each artist’s content and will be an opportunity for YOU to be part of the creative process. There will be special opportunities for Brite subscribers to be part of a live audience during these events, so keep checking back for updates and breaking news. Seats will be limited and only open to Brite subscribers, so help us grow our community by telling another music lover about Brite and the cool things we’re doing to drive discovery, create community and interact with music.
7. Is Brite Revolution like iTunes or an online record label?
Not at all. Brite Revolution is a music community that gives subscribers access to the new songs posted by every one of our artists. Brite Revolution also offers an entire catalog of original content including videos, interviews, live performances and more. Unlike iTunes, which accepts content from anyone and charges per download, our artists are handpicked and give away music for free in order to reach new fans and part of a larger community. We sort through the noise so that you don’t have to.
Also, Brite Revolution artists own their masters, publishing and maintain full control of their careers.
8. What kinds of artists are on Brite Revolution?
Brite is about excellence and we are committed to helping artists in any genre who have spent years honing their art, building a fan base out on the road and doing the hard work it takes to develop and sustain a career in music. If you like it, chances are we got it (or will have it soon!) If we don’t, why don’t you make a suggestion?
9. How do I get my band on Brite?
How nice of you to ask. The short answer is this: the people who need to know, know. If you’re not in that group, here’s a good starting point: Get great. Get fans. If you do that, we’ll find you. Promise. Unfortunately, we currently do not accept any unsolicited material. If this changes in the future, we’ll be sure to let you know.
10. How do I cancel my subscription to Brite Revolution?
If you need to cancel for any reason, go to the support page, select “I Want to Cancel My Membership” in the pull-down menu, and enter your information.
11. How do I import my music into my iTunes?

12. The song I’m looking for is no longer available on Brite. What happened? Can I purchase back catalog songs from Brite?
Currently, songs are available on Brite for 60 days. After that, they go back to the individual artist to distribute as they choose. You should contact the artist directly for information on how to purchase songs that are no longer available on Brite. We are working on a way to make this easier, so keep your eyes peeled.
13. The artist I’m looking for was on Brite and now they are not. Are they OK? What have you done with them?!?
Take it easy. They are fine. They’re probably off journaling about their feelings, trashing a hotel room or asleep in a van or backstage somewhere. They just aren’t on Brite right now. Brite is always moving and changing and so are artists’ careers. We sign artists for seasons. Some are longer than others. Sometimes artists have to step back for a bit with tour schedules, families (yes, they have families too) and general career stuff. Most will be back before too long. But one thing we promise, even if the artist you love is off the site, there will always be something new, exciting and worthy of your attention. We stake our reputation on it.
