When asked about the song-writing behind his first full-length album, Intentions, Joshua Michael Robinson recognizes the creative mind's ability to turn heartache into healing for both the artist and listener.

A Lakeland Florida native, 21-year-old singer/songwriter Joshua Michael Robinson remembers growing up with 8 brothers and sisters and how he developed an affinity for music on his family's antique piano at an early age. "I grew up with a diverse love for music, from soulful singers like Ray LaMontagne and Ryan Adams to more edgy rock, especially Radiohead," says Robinson. "Working with Aaron [Marsh] gave me the ability to take my varied influences and transcend the simplicity of a song, creating something I was never able to before."

Produced by Aaron Marsh at The Vanguard Room, Intentions gracefully moves through experiences of restrained love, deep loss, and docile introspection. Intimate and delicate, Joshua's voice is hushed against organic soundscapes. The debut is slated for release on August 21st.
