Harmondale is the music of Laura Harmondale, who went on a soul-journey from Ohio to Joshua Tree ended up in Nashville, Tennessee. Harmondale's debut album, Spirit of 73, is largely inspired by the spirit of Gram Parsons and the little Southern California town he loved well. The songs were written by Laura over the five-year period that she lived there. Guest players include: Gar Robertson, Tim Easton, Wally Ingram & Bobby Furgo. Joshua Tree was much like a desert music camp; the kind of camp where your counselors just happen to be American folk & rock music legends. Magical moments were around every creosote bush. With Spirit of 73, Laura aims to harness the same energy that attracted Gram; the spirit of the untamed desert. And the sound of it...coyotes singing, woven through with pedal steel... Welcome to Harmondale.
