Andy Osenga has nine toes. No kidding. He cut one off mowing the lawn a few years ago. It was the toe that had roast beef (the one in between the guy that stayed home and the one that went home, as Andy Gullahorn so eloquently pointed out in his homage to the fallen appendage). He is music city’s own version of Frodo Baggins, earning him the handle Andy Toesenga. And if that’s not reason enough to become a fan then you should because he’s awesome.
Andy is one of the most prolific and solid songwriters going. He forgets more songs a month than most artists write in a year. And they are all pretty much great. What more, he is a guitar player of the first water and besides his solo career he has been in The Normals (Forefront Records) and most recently Caedmon’s Call (INO Records).
But nobody loves music because of a great resume or even a really cool injury. They love it for the songs. And at the end of the day Andy Osenga is committed to the song and connecting with the listener. He invites them into his world through vulnerable lyrics, beautifuyl melodies and brilliant arrangements. There are few people in music like Andy and we are proud to have him on Brite.
